KMU Aggregate Calculator (Khyber Medical University)

Use this free KMU aggregate calculator to calculate your merit for MBBS and BDS at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s public medical and dental colleges, or for DPT, nursing and allied health through KMU-CAT. It uses the same formulas as KMU’s own admission portals.

Quick answer

KMU runs centralised admission to every public medical and dental college in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. For MBBS and BDS, the aggregate is 10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT. For DPT, nursing and BS allied health, it is 10% Matric + 50% FSc + 40% KMU-CAT (out of 100). Both use your full FSc marks, and both formulas come from KMU’s own aggregate calculators.

KMU Aggregate Formula 2026

AdmissionFormulaTest
MBBS / BDS, public medical and dental colleges of KP10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCATMDCAT (KMU conducted it in KP on 20 September 2026)
DPT, Nursing, Pharm-D, BS Allied Health (KMU-CAT)10% Matric + 50% FSc + 40% KMU-CATKMU-CAT, out of 100

Both formulas are taken from KMU’s own aggregate calculators on its CAS (MBBS/BDS), KMU-CAT and BS admission portals. The MBBS/BDS formula is also written in KMU’s Admission Policy for public colleges. KMU uses your full FSc marks, whether your board totals 1100 or 1200.

How to Calculate Your KMU Aggregate (MBBS)

ComponentMarksPercentageWeightagePoints
MDCAT165 / 18091.67%50%45.83
FSc1140 / 120095.00%40%38.00
Matric1050 / 110095.45%10%9.55

Enter the same marks on the MBBS/BDS option and you will get 93.38%. With these Matric and FSc marks, reaching 92.30% needs 162/180 in MDCAT.

For KMU-CAT: Matric 950/1100, FSc 900/1100 and KMU-CAT 70/100 give 8.64 + 40.91 + 28.00 = 77.55%.

KMU MBBS Merit 2025-26: How High Was It?

KMU’s official final merit lists for session 2025-26 (MDCAT 2025, out of 180) show how competitive open merit was:

Final merit list (2025-26)Candidates listedHighest aggregateLowest aggregate on list
MBBS Open Merit1,60397.70%92.30%
BDS Open Merit1,09096.54%92.30%
MBBS General Self-Finance74996.54%92.22%

These lists rank candidates for placement in order of merit; they do not show a separate closing merit for each college. Colleges are allotted by merit and your preference order, so KMC and AMC fill first. In practice, an MBBS aggregate below about 92% was not enough for open merit last year.

What Each Mark Is Worth (MBBS/BDS)

ImprovementChange in aggregate
+1 MDCAT mark (out of 180)+0.28 points
+10 FSc marks (out of 1100)+0.36 points
+10 Matric marks (out of 1100)+0.09 points

Every single MDCAT mark is worth more than a quarter of a percentage point, and open merit is decided in the second decimal place. Two or three MDCAT marks can move you past hundreds of candidates.

Common KMU Aggregate Mistakes

  • Using the MBBS formula for DPT or nursing. KMU-CAT programmes use 10-50-40.
  • Entering FSc out of 1100 when your board gives 1200. Use your board’s real total.
  • Using the wrong MDCAT total. MDCAT 2025 was out of 180.
  • Relying on old college cutoffs. The 2025-26 open-merit list did not go below 92.30%.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only KMU’s merit lists are official.

How this page was checked. The formulas come from the scripts of KMU’s own aggregate calculators on its CAS, KMU-CAT and BS admission portals. The seats, eligibility and tie-break rules come from KMU’s Admission Policy 2025-26 for public colleges and its eligibility page. The 2025-26 merit figures come from KMU’s official final merit lists. The KMU-CAT pattern and dates come from the KMU-CAT portal. All were read on 29 September 2026. The two other calculator pages checked used the same MBBS formula.
