HITEC University Merit & Aggregate Calculator (Taxila)

Use this free HITEC University merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit with the formula in HITEC’s own Admission Policy 2026-27: 17% SSC + 50% HSSC + 33% admission test for engineering and computing, and 30% SSC + 70% HSSC for programmes without a test.

Quick answer

HITEC’s Admission Policy 2026-27 (section 6, “Determination of Merit”) sets two formulas. BS Engineering and BS CS, Software Engineering, AI and Cyber Security: 17% SSC + 50% HSSC + 33% admission test. BS IoT, Robotics, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Accounting & Finance, BBA and Business Analytics: 30% SSC + 70% HSSC, with no test. You may take the test twice; the best result counts.

This is section 6 (“Determination of Merit”) of HITEC University’s Admission Policy for the 2026-27 session. Two other online calculators use different splits for HITEC: a “fallback” 10/40/50 and an older 20/50/30. Neither matches HITEC’s current policy.

HITEC Admission Test

The written admission test is compulsory for BS Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Biomedical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI and Cyber Security. Valid NTS NAT (IE, ICS or IM) results and tests from PEC-recognised agencies are also accepted. You can take the test up to two times; the best result is used. In Fall 2026 the test ran online every Tuesday and Thursday, with an on-campus option.

BS Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Engineering60% in HSSC with Maths, Physics, Chemistry; or Physics, Maths, CS (remedial Chemistry); or Pre-Medical (8-week condensed maths); or relevant DAE 60%
BS Biomedical Engineering60% in HSSC Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical or ICS, or relevant DAE
BS CS, Software Engineering, AI, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering (NCEAC)50% with Mathematics (without maths: 6 credit hours deficiency); DAE 50%
BS Mathematics50% with Mathematics (DAE 50%)
BS Islamic Studies45% (Khassa certificate also accepted)
BBA, BS Accounting & Finance, Business Analytics, Robotics & Automation, Internet of Things45%

Applicants with only a Part-I result must submit a hope certificate. Admission stays provisional until your full HSSC result and attested documents are submitted.

HITEC Merit Scholarships

  • 100% tuition fee waiver for the full degree to the top 25 board position holders (terms apply).
  • Up to 50% tuition fee waiver for the top 250 in HITEC’s aggregate merit list.
  • Semester-based scholarships for high achievers, and financial assistance for needy students.

What Each Mark Is Worth at HITEC

ImprovementEngineering / computing (17-50-33)No-test programmes (30-70)
+10 HSSC marks (out of 1100)+0.45 points+0.64 points
+1 test mark (out of 100)+0.33 points—
+10 SSC marks (out of 1100)+0.15 points+0.27 points

A higher aggregate also matters for the top-250 scholarship, which is based on HITEC’s aggregate merit list.

Common HITEC Merit Mistakes

  • Using 10/40/50 or 20/50/30. HITEC’s 2026-27 policy uses 17/50/33.
  • Adding a test for BBA or Robotics. Those programmes use 30% SSC + 70% HSSC with no test.
  • Taking the test only once. You can sit it twice and keep the better score.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only HITEC’s merit lists are official.

Frequently asked questions

What is the HITEC University merit formula?

For BS Engineering and BS CS, Software Engineering, AI and Cyber Security: 17% SSC + 50% HSSC + 33% admission test. For BS IoT, Robotics, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Accounting & Finance, BBA and Business Analytics: 30% SSC + 70% HSSC.

Does HITEC accept NTS NAT?

Yes. Valid NTS NAT (IE, ICS or IM) results and tests from PEC-recognised agencies are accepted instead of the HITEC test.

How many times can I take the HITEC entry test?

Up to two times. HITEC uses your best result.

How is the HITEC aggregate calculated?

For engineering: SSC % × 0.17 + HSSC % × 0.50 + test % × 0.33. For example, 950/1100, 900/1100 and 65/100 give 77.04%.

What is the minimum percentage for HITEC engineering?

60% in HSSC (Pre-Engineering, ICS with Physics and Maths, Pre-Medical with condensed maths) or a relevant DAE.

Can Pre-Medical students apply for engineering at HITEC?

Yes, with at least 60% and an 8-week condensed mathematics programme, as PEC allows.

Which HITEC programmes have no entry test?

BS Internet of Things, Robotics & Automation, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Accounting & Finance, BBA and Business Analytics.

Is this the official HITEC merit?

No. This is an independent calculator built from HITEC’s own Admission Policy 2026-27. HITEC publishes the official merit lists.

How this page was checked. The formulas, test rules, test composition and eligibility come from HITEC University’s Admission Policy for the 2026-27 session, linked from its admission portal; it is a scanned PDF, so it was read as page images. Scholarships and test dates come from HITEC’s Fall 2026 advertisement and website. All were read on 15 October 2026. The two other calculator pages checked use 10/40/50 (labelled a fallback) and 20/50/30 (from 2020); neither matches the current policy.
